Some of my customers may have been dismayed to hear of Apple’s announcement that they will no longer be developing iPhoto or Aperture, their legendary applications for organising and working with digital photos. The next version of the Mac system, called ‘Yosemite’, will instead shift its photography focus to a new application called simply ‘Photos’. Here is a link to the Apple Keynote speech which has some amazing information about some of the new changes to both the Mac and iPhone/iPads.
The information about the ‘Photos’ app begins around 73 minutes into the presentation.
The good news is that the replacement for iPhoto and Aperture looks really exciting and, of course, I will be available to anybody who needs a hand getting to grips with moving your photos to this new application and getting to grips with how it works!
